Personal opinion: Salads shouldn’t be an afterthought for Thanksgiving. With just a bit of effort, you can do a lot. I often mix and match salads depending on the season, what looks best at the market or store, and my guests’ preferences. Instead of coming up with an individual recipe for each one, I decided to make this post to consolidate these salads into a list of Fall & Winter Holiday Salad ideas.
These are just a variety of the different salads I’ve made for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I try to always add in different textures (crunchy, crispy, soft) and flavors (sweet, salty, sour, bitter). Generally, this usually means involving some sort of fruit, nut, and cheese. As far as salad dressings go, scroll down to see my favorite ones.
